ETS2 1.60 Update – Improved Material System

Euro Truck Simulator 2 version 1.60 introduces a major visual upgrade to truck interiors, making cabins look more realistic, detailed, and immersive than ever before.

The update improves how materials react to light, creating clearer differences between leather, plastic, fabric, metal, and other interior surfaces. This results in brighter cabins, improved reflections, enhanced shadows, and a more natural driving experience.

One of the biggest improvements is the upgraded dashboard rendering system. Instruments, control panels, steering wheels, and display screens now feature more accurate materials and lighting effects, giving truck interiors a premium and modern appearance

Cabin sleeping areas have also received noticeable enhancements. Upholstery, seat stitching, storage compartments, and interior panels now display greater depth and realism, making long-haul trucking feel more authentic and visually appealing.

The new material system creates a stronger foundation for future ETS2 content and truck updates. Players can expect more consistent visual quality across different vehicles as SCS Software continues refining the game’s graphics engine.
